At my lfs today I noticed they had some male bettas. They were so small, it just reminded me of how much I wanted to get one. They must have been quite young, they were only about ............. this big(Not including fins). They were so sweet.

That is about how big Misty was when I got her and she was 2 months old. It is always wise to get a young one if it is possible. It sounds like you have a VERY good LFS to shop at. Usually they only sell those Bettas who have been sold by breeders as too old to breed.

So glad you have such a nice selection, you should have a very nice Betta.

There are 3 good fish stores near me, and they all have bettas.
They have great selections of fish there, which are all very healthy from what I've seen. Some of the people actualy know what they are talking about too.
