After all the fussing my husband did about having too many tanks, he bought me a 5g tank! For mothers day (I have had the best mothers day weekend EVER!)
So, its one of those 5g hex's w/ a biowheel built in, I took the filter that came w/ it and put it in the biowheel box on my 55g and then took the tiny biowheel and dropped it to float in the top of the 55g tank (should this get some benifical bacteria on it?)

I can't wait to get my betta! My mother has her crowntailed fry, and I am going to go through them, I am looking for a royal blue colored one... the father is that color, so I am hoping!! Plus I got that color large almost a river stone size gravel, very smooth, and I am going to have to buy some fake plants for it also.....

How exciting! Welcom to the betta club. You'll see, in a couple months you'll probably have at least two of those little boys! They are the cutest and are certaintly addicting

lol, I was lucky to get that tank...actually my husband is interested now in SW tanks.. so I am going to stick w/ one betta, for now!
Eventhough they are so beautiful!

Congratulations! You can seed your new tank with some of your old filter media.....you'd have almost an instand cycle.

Thats what I am going to do, when I finally get a day at home w/ rest...lol
Tomm after I sleep some I have a bunch of catch up cleaning to do, then tuesday my hair appt.... (seriously needing my haircut it grows faster than I can keep up w/ it! and while I am doing that I plan to visit some w/ my mother which I didn't see on mothers day afterwards)
Plus, after that get my oldest from school and him and the 2 year old need haircuts themselves (they look like kids of that 70's show lol)
When !! will I get caught up!!

I can't wait to get this tank going! I've been wanting a betta for a long time... not to mention a tank in my bedroom.(Its going to be next to carson, the 2 year olds toddler bed and mine well between) he will get to go to sleep next to fishy too...
