Hi guys, just wanted to assure you all that I still am alive despite having not been on here in what seems like ages. I've been so busy with school, track, etc. Can't wait till summer.

All the bettas are doing great. The new girl was named Chispa (Spanish for spark, pronounce chees-pah) but I call her Chichi. Her training has been halted for now, I'll try to get back to it when I'm less busy which may not be until school's over. Oh and I got a nice pic of her after like a million tries. Cas & Fuego's tank is getting a makeover, doing an 'experiment' with different kinds of plants...will post pics if it works out.

Parents wouldn't let me put a fish tank upstairs so I've started growing houseplants instead. Plants are the next best thing to pets and my mum actually wants some plants upstairs. Oh and my other new fave activity is taking pics of birds with the digital cam I got for xmas.

So yeah...that's what I'm up to...now I need to go get some sleep so I stop dozing off during class...

She is darling and glad to hear that she ended up with a lovely name. So happy to have you back if only for a while. I know you are busy but we will take what we can get and wish you well in what you are doing as always. Do want to ask, how are Mist and Marble? You KNOW who I mean? I have a fondness for those two little miracle babies of yours.

(2 little otos...they survived fish TB and every other horror known to fish and were still alive and doing well last I heard)

I lost my betta boy Kiz last week, i'm gutted. Sounds mad but i am bonding with mums boy Sky more now.

Mist and Marble came out of quarantine Jan. 23, 2007 so you have had them a little over 15 months. Congrats!

Carol, that was when they came out of quarantine from the Fish TB tanks and they were there for a long time like 6 months or more. They were the only fish she had that lived in that tank I believe. They lived when all the others there died. They had gone through many episodes of finrot and one of them became entangled in a piece of decor and got cut up and damaged badly and healed up famously. These have been famously fabulous little otos. They are marvelous and the longest lived little otos I know.

I am so proud of them. They are real favorites of mine.
