i was so happy to see this!

"Wild About Otters is Monterey Bay Aquarium’s first special exhibition to feature live mammals, and its first to showcase over 30 species of tropical freshwater fishes and reptiles – including vine snakes, exotic frogs, box turtles, water lilies, papyrus, cichlids, bettas, catfish, gouramis, killifish, butterflyfish, pufferfish and archerfish – all of which share the freshwater otters’ habitats in the wild."

Interesting, is that all in one exhibit? They sound like native animals of very different ecosystems.

I think that it was a wide range of places that different otters live. The betta would live with the asian river otters (vicious little beasts. The only creatures at the Queensland zoo that are anesthetized before their routine checkups) Papyrus and butterflyfish would be with African otters (didn't know there were any, but I haven't studied otters all that thoroughly). Box turtles would go with the North American river otter (we've got those in MN). Etc...
