A boo boo should I be worried?

Eli was perfectly fine last night when I went to bed, I watch him when I’m on the phone with the gf. This morning (yes that’s now) he has a white spot on his forehead. It looks like he scraped it on something and 4 or so scales are missing. I’m going to do a 30% water change so he has nice clean water.

Is this a disease or should I not be worried?

If he is acting ok, I would just keep my eye on him and his tank mates, and of course keep up with the water changes.
Can you post a pic? The more experienced betta owners of this forum might have some insight.

If it doesn't expand any or look fuzzy, then he may have scraped against something. Look for anything in the tank that he might have scraped that spot on. If you can add fish protector and vita-chem daily, they'll help speed the scale regrowth.

Extra water changes are a good idea and I'd feed him mostly meals of thawed, frozen bloodworms for the protein.
