Floating Hamster tube

Hey.. quick question here - someone suggested on one of these threads... i think it could have been either Dave or Rose... to float a hamster tube, instead of leaving it at the bottom. I have left one on the floor of the tank, but I've got another one floating as well. The thing is.. it moves with the current of the filter. It's not tossing about or anything, but it does move about... will the constant movement stress Champion? He spends a lot of time mostly around the top of the tank, cruising... woke up this morning and he was perched on the thermometer, sleeping near the top of the tank. So i thought it would be fun for him to have a little tube floating, but now i worry it may seem like a big fish coming to eat him with the constant movement. Am i over-worrying?

Usually, the filter currents leave you with a corner that's fairly still. That's where we put their floating tubes and they move very little during the week.
