She bought me a 10 gallon tank for (you guessed it) another betta I won't be able to get it set up for a few weeks, but I can not wait! Since I already have most of the general supplies, all I'll need to pick up is a heater + decorations for the new tank. This is really exciting, can't wait to give this home to a new little betta friend.

For the tank, I'm thinking of making it looks more "all natural" with the smooth brown rocks, plenty of live plants, and of course plenty of odds and ends for the betta to swim through.

On a somewhat related note, Christmas is coming soon for the two bettas that are already here....they will be getting some new live plants in their tank on Monday. Hopefully that will help with some of that icky algae!

lol.. great gift.. yes, we're crazy but we love it - our Bettas have all gotten new toys for Christmas too and will get bloodworms for their Christmas feedings.

Look at your petsmart for these walls with short bubble tubes on the back side of them. They're about $7 and we tried one out with Angel who LOVES hers.. We got her the wall that looks like brown and grey stones so it could be a great way to aerate the tank without taking from the natural theme.

Wow, what a great friend you have! I wish my friends would think of a gift like that.

I have all my bettas in naturally aquascaped tanks and I find them very serene.

Looks like tomorrow will be the day we go and pick out some decorations for the tank! Not too sure when the betta will come along, just whenever we get everything set up I reckon. Hopefully soon, this wait has been too long, haha.
