I Have Been noticing a Swelled Belly after meals but now he has one that hasn't went away. I Only feed him a dash a food a day. Is that over feeding him. I Have fed him pea's and it has only made him bigger. What Should i do? thanks

It doesn't sound like you overfeeding him. What exactly are you feeding him?

Yes, please tell us what you're feeding, and how much is a "dash"?

If you're giving dry food only in larger portions, I'm pretty sure that's the problem.

Thats most likely the problem, because flakes are not ideal for betta's there mouths are just not shaped right for them. If I were you I would try feeding him Betta Bio Gold

or Atisons Betta Pro:

and freeze dried blood worms. Keep feeding him peas though. Also, fasting him for a day or two might help.

A betta's stomach is about the size of it's eye, so that tells you how much to feed. 3 pinches of dry food that swell up inside the stomach is way too much.

You should get some frozen bloodworms, since bettas are carnivores and flakes are completely inappropriate food.

Fast him until the bloat goes away.

All of our Bettas are on a regular diet of fasting on Sunday, 3 small pellet-sized pieces of thawed & peeled frozen pea on Monday (AM & PM), 3 Betta Pro pellets Tues-Fri (AM & PM), then 3 bloodworms from a thawed frozen bloodworm cube Sat (AM & PM). This diet seems to work well for them and we've not had any constipation issues since we've been feeding them this way.

Well, it's evolved from a newbie diet of betta flakes and freeze-dried bloodworms to a point where we had at least 8 different foods but as we learned more about Bettas and feeding them here, we ended up developing the current diet plan that they've been on since June.
