Just added backgrounds on the betta tanks

Today I put a natural looking background on both the betta tanks for Andre and Spazz. The one for Andre is trying to block sunlight to keep the dang algae down, the one for Spazz is merely for looks (and so she doesn't get jealous). They are both being SO cute checking it out, especially Spazz. Spazz aslo seems fascinated by the tape on the side of the tank as well, HAHA!

The backgrounds both looks really nice in their tanks, and I'm really hoping that the algae in Andre's tank goes away. It was brown algae at first, but now it's this green stringy looking stuff.

Anyways, just thought I'd share the background and their cuteness

Well I hope they enjoy it. My tanks get algae regardless if there is light or not. That's why I said in that one post you posted about the algae not necessarliy needing light to grow, cuz my bedroom very seldom has the blinds open. Our bedroom is off the front porch so I try to keep them closed for privacy. The only time I'll open them is when we open the sliding glass door for fresh air and when we have an open house to show people how light and airy it can be in there when it is open. Natalie

We'll see what it does....because right now, I don't think adding any kind of algae eater would be a good idea

I love black backgrounds on tanks, but I can only have it one of my betta tanks, since the other betta who is very aggressive sees his reflection and would flare himself to death I think.

Glad yours are working out!

If you've got green beard algae and livebearers in another tank, you'll be daddy of the month. They love that stuff. I twirl it round a wooden stick and feed them it. It's like candy floss to them!

Ooooh, backgrounds are so much fun, and bettas are so cute. I love that they're so nosy and inquisitive.
