i don't think it will hurt your betta as long as there plenty of room to swim around it. By the way very pretty.

as long as the holes are big enough for them not to get caught in they will love it. they will be in there peeking out at you more than you know. They love little nooks and crannies to hide in once in a while. let them have fun.
