I have two betta fish, one in each of my two tanks. I want to keep both of them together but i can't figure out if they are male or female. How can i find out about their gender?

But honestly I would not keep 2 betta splendens in the same tank if they are both male or opposite genders. A male betta splenden will be very likely to kill the female in anything under a 75-120g tank that is heavily planted/plenty of hiding holes. Some people have success at keeping several females in a tank together, but I've never had that same success. The one time I tried it we had one female jump within a day, she survived the out of water experience but died due to internal injury from the fall.

females will have a white egg spot in front of the anal fin on their underside.

cwc is right - 2 betta splendens in the same tank is an almost certain recipe for dead fish.

Can we see pics? If you have the wild type of betta called Imbellis, you could keep them together.

If they are Splendens, then as has been said, don't do it.
