Best fungal remover for bettas?

Preferably, something that doesn't change the water colors, haha. Thanks!

50% waterchanges daily. Most any medication I know of changes water colors.

It depends on what kind of fungus. For true fungus, Maroxy will get rid of the fungus and is colorless and Maracyn-Two to help prevent secondary infections from the fungus.
For body fungus (columnaris) treat with Maracyn. Maracyn makes the water cloudy and smelly but does not color or stain anything.

we treat with Rid-Fungus. It does add a brownish/tannish color to the water.

Yeah, definately going to pick up something besides the fugus cure today. His top lost alot over the night. Was hoping that it was bacterial fin rot and the maracyn-two I was using would fix things. Wow, will the fin rot ever end?!?!

I HATE finrot. I am sorry you have to go through this. Why won't it just go away?

i'm starting to wonder if part of our troubles is in treating finrot as either bacterial or fungal instead of both.

As in if it's bacterial and we treat for fungal, we've lost half the battle?

Thing is, right now he's getting two different meds, one of which treats a number of things including bacterial fin rot, another that goes for fungal fin rot. Things haven't gotten any worse since yesterday at least.

with our closed systems, how often is finrot single-cause in origin? how often is it both? if we treat just one cause and it's both, we'd only be half-treating and leaving the other to continue the finrot ordeal.. just theorizing.. but Aslan has really improved after we treated him with both triple sulfa and rid-fungus and i'm certain the finrot that he had was caused by bacterial and fungal causes.. the fungal had been weakening his fins for at least a month or more before the trip i think.
