he has like black streaks on he lower body, like its dark but its not black dot disease. It would be great if if i knew what kind of sickness he had

if you just got him it may be stress stripes

Could you post a picture? It may just be part of his natural coloring. betta's coloring does change some as they grow up. They develop a lot of spots and splotches of color that were not there when they were just bought (usually at about 3 months of age)

Hi Jagz. I agree with Phlox. Mine has this brown mask and I thought it was a fungal infection possibly, as it doens't look so good, but actually it's his normal colouring. That came out more when he started to relax at home. I'd say there's a good chance it's the same for yours, but indeed, pictures would help.
