Jasper a Crown tail ?

I noticed the other when Jasper flared that is fins weren't like most veil tail Betta I have had or seen.
His fins looks messy but when he flares he doesn't look like one of those beautiful CT Betta...I think he got mistaken for a veil tail b/c of his crappy finage...I still love him tho. His fins looks just like this example...

Re: Jasper a Crown tail ?

He's a veiltail but he does have some crowntail in him. He's a beauty either way. Sometimes you do get some fringing in veiltails because of their mixed parentage but it's not enough to be considered a true crowntail.

That's what I figured..I wasn't sure if the different types could breed together....so they can. Thanks.

Re: Jasper a Crown tail ?

Yah they can. They are all betta splendens. Like said, he is a combtail mix, maybe veiltail or halfmoon, if it is halfmoon then he would be a combtail.
