What could a thinner top fin indicate?

Ricktavious' top fin got thinner in one place over a couple days. It's now almost transparent (not quite though). Everything else looks the same on him. He's been on anti-bacterial pellets soaked in garlic guard for awhile, with extra vitamins in his tank and 40%-60% water change in a 5 gallon tank per week. If anyone has any idea why it could be going on, if it's bad, or what I can do, it would all be appreciated

It sounds like regrowth. It comes in very thin and almost see through and then grow thicker. Just keep doing what you are doing and keep an eye on it.

You are correct, it does look similar to regrowth.....only thing is, nothing from this part of his fin has fallen off as far as I have seen.

I would just keep an eye on it. If it falls off then it's finrot. He may just be growing new tissue even if there was no previous damage due to extra vitamins.
Lava Jr. did that too. I was worried that he might have finrot when I saw whitish/clear tips on the ends of his rays. After a while they became thicker and colored and his rays were just getting longer.
