I was at the auction today and I got my hands on a male pastel plakat and a male cambodian plakat for about $2 each. That is really cheap for bettas here. There was a male copper plakat that I had wanted but somebody bought him for $20 and I didn't feel like going higher than that on a male betta yet. I will have pics asap.

Ya, there was a beautiful male copper plakat there, but it went for over $30 and I stopped bidding after $20.

So I have decided to name my two new boys, Spot(cambodian) and Raul(pastel). I chose Spot because he has nice and beautiful blue fins and his tail fin has a nice red spot on it. I chose Raul because I don't know.

sounds like the white platinum male and yellow female we wanted.. both went over $40 with the female going for around $60. don't you wanna get up and say "SOLD!" before they can do that?

Ya, when I was biding on the male copper plakat, I wanted to shout out, 'Sold' when I had just finished biding. I know the person that outbid me too.

I know. But I can get one for about $5 instead of $10. I am sooo happy that I know the local betta breeder.
