I'd go for a solid emerald green of any variety. I don't mean one with green irridescent shimmer, a true green betta. If I ever see one, I'm buying it no matter what.

You see the jar thing again. I am seriously contemplating putting mine in one. You hear of so many stories of bettas in jars and surviving really long, and so many stories of finrot in larger/heated/filtered tanks.

Yeah, and I love the really deep dark blue and the lovely lovely lovely black/gray. That one is amazing. And of course, the mustard ones, when they're lined with black. Aaaaaaaaaaaargh.

k-rock that betta is identical to my Marty Jr. and tomh I love that Mustard Gas gentleman. I just do not have any luck with bettas coming from Thailand or I would be seriously tempted and besides I now have 7 bettas in 5 tanks and no more room.

Wow! I never looked into bettas too much, but I may have just caught the bug. That one tom just posted is absolutely gorgeous, as are the halfmoon plakats earlier in this post(the purple and yellow ones)...I do have a 10 gal tank with filter/heater/light just laying around...and a bag of flourite for it...and a plant bulb...OH NO!!!!
