The betta bug.. it bites hard!

Totally. One of my hobbies has actually become to hunt the most beautiful betta pictures on the web, and then view them as diaporama and dreaaaaam.

I was at the store and I saw the most beautiful male betta today. He was a red with a blue upper part of his body. I would have gotten him, but I didn't see him until I was passing the window and I had to get home. The next time I go, which should be some time next week, I will see if he is still there.

all 3 of those bettas are beautiful, but the 2nd one is actually my least favorite. I LOVE combtails! and masks! and the 1st & 3rd are double-ray combtails with incredible masks! wow! show betta city!

It is, kinda. But on the other hand, am really not sure I could take care of another long-tailed male. Am too freaked by the uncontrollable finrot I had to watch him suffer from. I think am better off just watching the pix, you know?

But I have to say am not keen on masks either.

If I could pick a fantasy betta, I would pick one that would allow me to have a tank full, instead of just one.

This thread was fun and tempting...since I've been looking at some Betta shots. I was having fantasy thoughts again, bumping this thread in the process.

I would get one that lives long but I dont really like bettas but one was my first fish but I think I wouldnt get one unless it came with a tank.

Betta can live up to 5 years if given the right treatment. From my experience Betta have the most personality than any fish we've kept. We've kept a lot of different species of fish.
Betta bought from Thailand are young, my Casper was 3 months old when I got him. Now the ones from LFS are less likely to live 5 years, unless you know the betta is young.
