i was at petsmart friday...just browsing, and saw this beautiful gold and blue betta...i thought i had my heart set on him, but then i saw this big crowntail and had to get it : of course

so here he is...and a pic of his first bubblenest!

ps- hes already starting to get fat fed him a pea today...just in case he is constipated :P

The bigger the Betta the older the Betta...they max out around 3-3.5"...3/4 month old are about 1.5" and it's when they are usually let go for sale.
He is a pretty fella tho. Good luck with him.

well, his body is around 2-2.5 in, but he has a huge tail, so it makes him look like he is getting close to 4 in

my new guy needs a name...what do ya'll think it should be?

every night, when i get home, i find a new bubblenest...but it disappears quickly cause he is more interested in me than it...but when i get home the next day...there is always another one in the exact same place...yesterday, he had 2 going at the same time...and today, he has a huge one going (about 5 in wide, 2in long, and 1/4 in tall)

the first time we fed our Betta Sora a pea, we dropped a half of one in there. we know better now, but by the time he finished it, his stomach was a little green betta basketball.
