Re: Switch tanks

Lots of ppl wont approve of that, but i would think theres a chance he might get along with the mollies and swords but not the angels....

Re: Switch tanks

Yeah bettas are prone to attack any fish with large finnage like itself. He is going to have a big problem with the angelfish.

Re: Switch tanks

Yeah he could most like have an issue with the Angels fins. But some Betta get along great in a community tank. You never know until you try it. I tried 2 of my male Betta in a community tank...the less top dwelling fish the better. My Betta Nigel would chase my Dalmatian mollies like crazy but never attacking. Yet I put Seth my other male betta in and he was a psycho.
Trial & error with a bit of research always helps with keeping fish.

Re: Switch tanks

I wouldn't put him in.. partly because i think the angels would kill him, but even if they didn't - i don't think you'd see his personality much. it's not guaranteed to fail, but is a low probably at best.

Re: Switch tanks

I also wouldn't recommend it. In my experience, mollies nip, and from what I've heard of angels they wouldn't get along with a betta (as others have mentioned), so either the betta or some other fish would probably end up dead or very badly off.

Re: Switch tanks

Definately NO! The Angel fish would kill him and the mollies look a lot like female Bettas. Betta would go after the swordtail's long tail. None of the fish are compatible. I'm sure he would stay much happier in the 3 gallon alone.

I have to agree with everyone else. Not a good idea. Natalie
