I know fin rot can be bacterial and I am told trisulfa is good for that, but what was the other form of fin rot? and what would I buy to treat it?

I know bacterial and viral are vastly more common for fish diseases than fungal, but am not totally sure on the matter. Large partial waterchanges suggested until someone with the answer comes along, best of luck!

I know that some people on this forum were using Rid Fungus (don't remember the manucturer) to get rid of betta finrot. Apparently, this deals with both the fungus and the bacteria that cause finrot.

All I know of the bacterial finrot medication, is that it is gram-negative, whatever that means.

Rid Fungus by Kordon (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...&N=2004+113021) is a good anti-fungal med that's safe and won't mess up the cycle.
