Is this finrot?

From these pics is it clear to anyone if he has finrot,
there is 2 splits in his tail fin that wernt there a couple
of days ago.

One thing's for sure is he's flaring. HOW rude!

Not being an expert whatsoever, my instinctive response would be to say that whatever wasn't there before just has to be a problem, unless the fish is still developing his final fin pattern as he's still young? Or you didn't notice it before?

On the other hand, I see no 'rotten' looking stuff, but perhaps it's another kind of finrot than what I'm used to. I hear just it looking frayed can be a sign, in which case it's a possibility.

I think it's something to watch and then if it gets any worse, i'd start him on triple sulfa. If you have Vitachem, i'd start doing it daily.

yea hes still young, only 4 months, the fin doesnt look like its 'rotten'
or anything just torn, maybe hes caught it on something hes got
a of a lot of energy.
