I have never seen it on SALE but Drs. Foster and Smith have Bio-spira on sale on the internet only. Here is the link.

I wonder if they'd be willing to try to ship to Canada? They could label it as water conditioner and the idiots at customs would never know... I'll have to ask them.

All they would need to do is hear the words "live Bacteria" and we would have open warfare over it. I can see them thinking we were attempting some sort of "germ warfare" thing.

Oh,dear!

Re: Sale on at DFS on Bio-spira!

I talked to customer service there and she said they only offer Fed Ex international shipping for Canada which is 2-3 days. She said the BioSpira would no longer be viable if exposed to heat that long so that's why they don't ship it.

Maybe if I can find BioSpira somewhere else where they would be willing to ship overnight with a cold pack I could get some. Some people in Canada have gotten BioSpira if the company if willing to label it as "Water Conditioner". Then you'd have to take your chances that customs doesn't open it and take a close look.

Canada really is ridiculous in their paranoia of the US! : We had 4 fatal shootings here last weekend and of course the government claims it is the fault of the US. Yeah, like Canada wouldn't have a gun problem if it weren't for the US!

Re: Sale on at DFS on Bio-spira!

You could get on the Marineland.com website and see if there is anywhere in Canada that they do business with and then you would know if there is anywhere you could order from that would not require the customs people to be involved. After all, Sea Chem is an Australian company and I am sure that they accept all kinds of chemical agents from them as I have seen them in the catalogs from Big Al's and I know they ship to Canada as I got a Canadian catalog by mistake once.

*nodding* I almost choked on my....*insert beverage name here*. I've GOT to pick some up this weekend. Just got a new 5g tank kit that I have plans for. Been wanting a dwarf puffer for awhile, but am also going to try my hand at some of the easier plants in the freshwater spectrum.
