What a great pair these would be..

Precious is growing nicely in her tank, and 8 cents is doing well himself. I was thinking with the great coloring on these two, what pretty babies they would have. what do you think? Its alot to mate them and the care and keep of fry and the chance that Precious or even 8 cents can get hurt in the process make me know that it cant happen. But I was looking at their photos and thought what a great couple they would make.
What do you think?

Very beautiful fish. Yeah I bet they would produce some nice looking ofspring. But I agree that it is always risky and a LOT of work.

LOL...
I agree, they would produce some beautiful fry. Maybe with alot of research.. and the right conditions.. maybe.. just maybe. But it is something that I would take very seriously and research madly IF i were going to pair them up. But only when the other tanks are done and I can give them all the right attention needed to do this. But I agree.. the coloring on the two.. it would be something!

Re: What a great pair these would be..

there was another thread somewhere in here that i posted the basics for breeding splendens from what i've researched.. and since we figured we would need a room just for the breeding, and at least $1000+ in supplies plus some MAJOR time -- well we decided not to breed our white opaque translucent DR/SDR female Angel to a OHM male. I think we know what to do to minimize damage, perhaps not even have any in the spawning.. but the expense and space to raise the fry is the killer.
