Hey gang, I was wondering if anyone had any of these barbs yet? If so, what are your thoughts on these fish?

I've heard of the regular clown barbs from S.E. Asia, they grow 5.5" and peaceful, or that's what the book I was looking in had said.

No, not those guys... These African ones just started exporting in 06. They are small, max size about 1-2". They are small, tanish in color, with big dark spots. Very vute looking. I was just wondering what they were like in the aquarium... since they are fairly new, not to many LFS people know anything about them (not a big shock there tho)... I read up on them, and they sound like a great addition to a community, but I was looking for personal experiences... maybe DINO will know!

Dino's not kept them, but he told me he'd do some research in his literature to see what he can find for you.

Listed as being harmless, but please keep your senses, most lifeforms of any sort can be harmful under certain circumstances.

There is another site I viewed that had typos on important information. Such as listed 1.12inches as 112inches. Little difference there.
