Possible algae growing on my Bamboo Shrimp.

For the past week or so I have noticed green algae on the back of my bamboo shrimp. At first I thought he was just changing colors a little but now I’m pretty sure it’s algae. I can see his feelers turning too. Is this dangerous for him and is there a possibility of him getting rid of it when he molts. I have had him for over a year now and need to know what I can do to keep him from getting hurt.
There is a slight amount of green algae on the rocks at the bottom of the tank but nowhere else. What’s the deal?

Thanks for any advice,
Mojo

Is the algae growing on him? A magnifying glass would give you a good close look - or is he eating the algae and it is coloring him? Just some thoughts.

The algae probably isnt going to hurt him, he will probably get rid of it when he molts

Gouramiguy17 you were right.
My shrimp molted and all algae is now gone. He is back to his bright red color and on the move again.

Thanks for the replies,
Mojo
