Bamboo shrimp eats Blue-green algae

When I got my bamboo shrimp I had a huge sheet of blue green algae all over my driftwood. She went right for it and would scrape it off with her front non-fan legs then gobble it up. It was all gone overnight and she molted the next day. Now she filter feeds.

Maybe they prefer blue green algae to filter feeding. Anyone else see this happen?

well mine will wonder the the bottom and use there fans to scrape algea of rocks. i think they do a bit of both or when there ready to molt they wonder for a safe place and they eat along the way.
