A while back I resued 2 Bamboo shrimp from Petsmart for my catfish tank. One mysteriously disappeared pretty soon after. I am worried that the one I currently have might be lonely. The two of them used to sit next to each other while filter feeding and I hate seeing Jewel all alone. I have not been able to find any info anywhere on the social behavior of Bamboos, so I was wondering if someone here knows whether or not they like to have companions.

They do not require other shrimp.
One in a tank should be just fine.

Ok that's a relief. I'm not sure if any stores near me sell them anymore.
