There is a stone stuck in my bala sharks mouth! i've tried to get it out but i cant!

PLEASE ADVISE!! ASAP!

What do you mean you've tried to get it out? How? Did you try and grab the fish or what? If i were you, i would catch the fish and gently hold it between my finger and thumb then try and slowly pull the stone out

I've had this happen with goldfish. It's very upsetting.

Do this very gently. Hold the fish, take a toothpick and pop it out.
You might want to look into replacing the gravel with larger gravel so it doesn't happen again.

i got a manicure set , so very carefully It took me hours, bcse the fish was basically stressing, and the stone got more deeper. So when i wasn't touching him, the stone come back. I did many many try , I pull it out finally without injuring the fish. The fish made it !
Hope he won't do it again tho, looking for new aquarium look.

Today i cleaned the bedding and i found some blood worms that were still alive, from the previous feeding 3 days ago. So i think that is why the bala swallowed the stone instead of the worm. In the future, no live blood worms with small stone . Just leaving this info for people who do not want to operate their fish.

I'm happy to hear he is OK......I know how frightening this can be..One of my betta babies was choking on a bloodworm and I had to remove him and use and eye dropper to suck it out.....
