does anyone know how to train an arowana to eat from your hand? Ive seen people do it but mine always gets spooked when i put my hand in the water. Advice anyone?

Hi Aqua.
Try this. It's worked for me before. I starved my arowana for a couple of days. Then just placed some blood worms on my hand and left my hand floating on the on the surface of the water, allowing my 10 inch arowana to eat from my hand. You'll have to be steady to not frighten him. How big is your silver?

Hes about 8 or 9 inches long. Ive been trying to get him to eat krill outta my hand. He always gets spooked very easily also.

Hmm... You can try my suggestion. If that doesn't work, you can try what some members do. You can try feeding him when it's dark and there's very little light. That'll have less chances of him getting spooked.

IT takes a bit of time for them to adjust to the surroundings. After a while you can definitely get them to come up and eat feeders & mealworms, etc.

actually, i just held a piece of MP and BAM!

and

held a cricket with tweesers, my arowana jumped about 2" to get it!
