Does anybody know if the filters in a water cooler (the kind with the plumbing attached to it, rather than the kind with the big jug on top of it) filter out chlorine and/or chloramine? I've started caring for a fish tank in an office, and they've been using this filtered water with no treatment for quite awhile. Other than massively high nitrates (from overcrowding), the tank doesn't seem to have any problems, but I know that stress doesn't always show.

i think they do. especially if they have been using it for that long without problems.
