water going green

Hi every body.
The water in my 100 gallon tank are going green, I do a 30% water chance every week. As soon as I do the water chance in looks nice and clean again, two days later it start looking green again. I've but in a blue light they say that will help with the water. Any advice on what i must do. O'Ja and the tank is close to a window and a door, but I got nowhere else to but it because of the size. Since I've but in the blue light it's not so green but still little bit green.

yes between 2 and 3. I will also do a water chance every day and see if it works. Thanks for the advice.

i think if its getting direct sun daily then it will be a constant issue. can you put up blinds? i have to keep my dining room blinds shut all morning to keep the direct sun out of some of my tanks.

if the front of the tank isnt effected by the sun, and its just the sides, you can put the background on the sides...if the front of the tank is getting direct sunlight, as coffeebean said, you are always going to have this issue...over feeding and too high of wattage in your lights can also cause it..but you did say you have the direct sun so thats probably going to be the major factor
