My 29 gal, that I am resetting, has lime deposits on the lid, etc. Any suggestions on how to get it off, scrubbing with salt has not been too successful.
Also, do you know how to keep it from collecting to begin with?

its usually from the softness or hardness of your water if im not mistaken...and you can wipe it down with some vinegar which should help it ..just rinse it very well..
