I have a wonderful 26g bow set up in my bedroom. It's up against a wall that faces west. About 10ft from the window. It gets full late afternoon sun. I know about algae and the sun but darn it all. I wish there was some way to allow the sun to continue to shine on through to this tank. It's soooo beautiful looking and my fish seem to just love it!! I mean they actually get all spunky and it's like there joyfull. I don't us any other light source during this time.
Is it possible to keep the sun shining through without worrying about algae?

one of my 75 gallons has sun going thru it from 3-430 pm everyday (I know this because it causes a rainbow type colors on a piece of driftwood LOL) I dont have algae and if I do, my plec seems to keep it under control

If not careful the direct sun will heat the tank up significantly. My 55g in the fishroom gets some direct sun if I leave the door open. I'm just careful how long I leave the door open
