today i went to my local LFS to buy another "cory",as im looking at the tanks theres a blue Gourami tank with corys & there was 2 skeleton's that were corys, the tank next to it have 1 dead frog & 1 dead & molding, as one of the helpers was helping get a cory from a tank with no dead fish!!!!, shes using one of those cheap green nets from topfin, as she gets the cory to put him in the container his dorsal fin got stuck in the net & she starts shaking the net as hes stuck, so i tell here i dont want that one after all, she says ok and as shes putting him back in the tank the poor little guy was still stuck & she starts shaking him again,as he finally got free i told her if she had a nylon net & she got one, thank god.

O.k. so I got the poor little guy home, i thought I'd test there water, ammonia 0.0ppm, nitrite 0.0ppm, nitrate 80 PPM , i was shocked actually i wasn't, these poor fish, at the time the owner was not in , I'm going to talk to him on moday b/c i know hes going to be in, I'm very upset right now, i have the cory in quarantine right now. looks happier now that before.I feel bad for all those poor fish.


there policy is money back in 24hr if fish dies, but u need to bring a sample of your water separately, lol test your water buddy.

I tell myself, do i need to maintenance there tanks for them, all tank look like they need a good scrub with all that algae on the glass & a 75% water change per tank., one of helpers at the LFS asked me what size of tank i have,"do i have a heater !! lmao, and if my tank is established, uuhhh no, i just want a cory cat for my cold tap water tank!!! they all act like they know what their talking about.. just dumb.
