I have a 25 gallon tank with 1 black ghost, 4 zebra danios, 5 dwarf neon rainbowfish, 4 fancy guppies, 3 mollies, 2 chinese algea eaters, 1 coolie loach, 1 platy. Can I put aquarium salt in the water?

I wouldnt recommend it, salt is NOT necessary, its better used in a quarantine tank to treat certain illnesses. Also, a lot of scaleless fish (the algae eaters) DO NOT tolerate salt in the water

We had added salt to our tank when we were starting out since we were told mollies had to be brackish, but stopped adding it when we found out is was not needed. All of our fish mollies included are doing great without it.

Agreed, the loaches won't do well with salt either.
