Cloudy water. Should i be worried?

hi. i just went to new jersey for 3 days and a put a special dissolving fish feeder in. i took it out on sunday and it is now tuesday night. for some reason, i followed the instructions on it and it said to do a 10% water change after. now my water is cloudy. should i be worried? do i have to do a blackout? please help.

can you get your water parimeters? ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates? id still say do a bigger water change and treat it with prime...those feeders are full of things that dont do well in tanks

do you think getting an eletric flake feeder would help?

It sounds like a bacterial bloom. I second shawnie's questions, but I'm guessing that there was something in the block that the bacteria in the tank fed on, causing them to jump in numbers. Not normally an issue in and of itself, but it usually lets you know that something is wrong in the tank (except when it happens at the end of the tank's nitrogen cycle)

you need the water parimeters for many to help you..and most meds are more harmful then helpful!

Why would you medicate are your fish sick? The blackout method is for algea blooms. I have to agree with what the others have said. First test the water parameters and then do a larger water change(I'm thinkin 25-50%).
