Favorite dechlorinator/conditioner?

I just bought a small bottle of Prime and also a bottle of NovaAqua Plus.
Which one do yall prefer to prep your tap water? I am new to this. I've been buying bottled water, but thats getting too pricey.

Tap water is actually better than most bottled water since it contains minerals your fish need, so no need to waste your $ on bottled any more. Right now I'm using Prime. I also like Stress Coat and Novaqua+. You don't need both Prime and Novaqua-they do the same thing (well sort of...they both dechlor & detox the water...Prime also detoxes ammonia and nitrite, while Novaqua has something that helps the fish's slime coats. Pick whichever sounds better for your situation.)

I just started using a tap water filter that takes out chlorine, chloramine, ammonia, phosphates and just about anything else. It is especially made for aquarium water. There is an additive that you put in the water after it is filtered. The additive adds the necessary minerals to keep your water hardness appropriate. I like it better than adding chemicals to my tank. I have used the Prime in the past and it worked quite well.
