10 gallon super fast cycle

i started my newest tank as a planted tank last tuesday using eco complete for my substrate and i seeded the new bio filter by burying it in the substrate of one of my established tanks. I checked my water parameters last thursday with results of [ammonia .5] [nitrite 0] [nitrate 0] [ph 7] and tonight i checked it and the parameters are [amonia .25] [nitrite 2.0] [nitrate 10] [ph 7] after seeding my new bio filter is it normal for parameters to go that fast? I mean in 4 days my ammonia spike has ended and nitrite spike is at its peak? Anyways im jsut suprised how painless this tank has been to cycle.

Yea, having 'seeding' in a tank does seem to speed up the process.
