THe water coming out of my well is 8.4 PH. It's great for my cichlids, but I'd like to have another tank with some tropicals or semi agressives. How high of a PH can the fish tolerate if I VERY VERY V E R Y Slowly Acclimate them to?

If you stay away from the more pH sensative fish, you should not have any problems.
Many fish are bred/raised in Florida, where there is a naturally high pH.

Avoid : rams, apistos, discus, and the softer water tetras like rummy noses.

ok so I was reading someone's thread about a drip acclimator... over how long of a period should I expect to acclimate them from 7-8.4? we talking, days? Hours? Weeks?
