please advise

i was cleaning my tank with the magfloat glass cleaned and i inadvertantly hit my thermometer and the bottom broke. all the lead beads fellinto the gravel but the alcohal stayed in the thermometer. i used a magnet to get all teh lead beads out of the gravel and actually took alot of gravel from that spot out. What else should i do is everything ok now?

I use those too Wolfgang, it was lucky the Mercury didn't get into the water! I personally would do a p.w.change and add some extra water condition just in case some lead chemical residue stayed in the water. I think it should be OK seeing you acted quickly.

Thanks Butterfly, and thanks Wolfgang for the science lesson he!he! - I really didn't know that about the mercury, I just thought they added a dye to make it red, we learn something every day!
