GEO Liquid & Activated Carbon ?

I have started using GEO Liquid in one of my tanks & would like to know whether you should remove or still need to use activated carbon as well? Does anyone else use GEO Liquid?

Many Thanks

This is from their website here:

GEO LIQUID AND CHARCOAL
GEO LIQUID and Activated charcoal have no effect on each other. Both share an ability to remove a range of contaminants from the water, but do it in different ways.

GEO LIQUID aDsorbs them. (As distinct from aBbsorbing them.) In charcoal they get trapped in the many pores, and will just as easily leach back into the water after the charcoal gets clogged. So it is counterproductive after a few weeks. GEO LIQUID on the other hand bonds on to them, and removes them forever. The GEO LIQUID particles will stay in suspension until all the contaminants are removed before precipitating out harmlessly to leave the water clear. The time it takes to do this usually gets shorter and shorter after each use, as the water quality gets better and better.

Re: GEO Liquid & Activated Carbon ?

That is good to know, thankyou Luniyn. I went to their website a few dys ago but couldn't find anything relating to act.carbon. Maybe I didn't search hard enough and it didn't occur to me to contact them directly and ask. Silly me!

Thanks again

Re: GEO Liquid & Activated Carbon ?

That post was in their forum section, though it's not much of a forum compared to this one. It's more of a place where people toss their post onto an ongoing page (that was post 176 of that page which is the only one the "forum" has). I just got lucky in that someone asked a similar question as I wasn't about to read through the rest of the page
