Know of any South American mid or top dwellers who aren't small enough to be eaten by Sorubim Lima?

I've already got a cichlid species planned for the tank, so was hoping for something different. (Although a cichlid that's generally peaceful but larger than 6'' from the same area would be nice to hear about.) A mid-top dwelling peaceful catfish would be awesome if one so exists, but bottom-dwellers are strictly no-no. I've already got plenty.

(Tank is 500 gallons. )
