Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

I have had a lot of mollies in my past and I think they do fine with other fish. I kept mine with platys and tetras and I had some harlequin rosbaras and even guppies. What size tank do you have?
Good Luck!

Iv'e found my Platys and Angelfish go with my Mollies just fine, but my Angelfish was a baby with them so that might have affected it.

No, I would not try it. Bettas are best kept on their own with no tank mates.

I kept a betta with 15 Molly fry at one point, and the same beta at another point with three mollies, no problems. I also kept female bettas with several mollies with no problems. I thinkits largely dependent on the individual fish, but judging from the other responses, it's probaby a risk.
