Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

Will Angels go with this set up??

This is the pic of my 75 gal. I have 15 neons, 7 glow lights, 5 serpea, 4 corry cats, 2 red fire DG, 1 cherry barb( the other 2 died), 1 rubber liped pleco. My question is will 2 or 3 angles be ok with the other fish? I guess I am wondering if the DG's will mess with the angels?

the dg's could "mess " with them as they are territorial...as well as your angels can "mess" with your neons ...great looking tank !!!!

Thanks, it has been a labor of love. I am just never happy unless I think it looks perfect.

That's a gorgeous tank! I'd definitely be careful about adding angels to a tank containing neons.

ditto on the neons!!! I had 2 large ones that lived fine with angels.(they were already mature and had grown up with the angels) Everytime I got new ones...a bit smaller, I would lose 1 or 2 every night!!!! While they were new. They (neons) would panic at lights out and the angels would trigger to attack mode!!! I suppose fish stores aren't dark at night, cause those little guys couldn't handle it....and the Angels loved cornering them.

Thanks to everyone that posted a reply, and thank you to those that complimented my tank. After thinking about all possible outcomes, I decided to go ahead and get three small marbled angels. My neons and glowlights are rather large, and the angels are quite small, so for now all is well. I will keep an eye on what is going on, but for now I am quite happy. The angels bring something to my aquarium that I did not have before, and they look fantastic.
