Aquarium Stocking Questions Use this board for aquarium stocking questions. Do NOT follow the 1 inch per 1 gallon of aquarium water recommendation that you will often hear at the local fish store. Stock your freshwater aquarium lightly and sensibly and if you need help with stocking your tank post your questions on this aquarium stocking board.

29 gallon

I'm so up and down with what i want for my tank. As some of you might have seen my other posts i like alot of fish, but I most definitely want want must have corydoras

so far

- 6 corydoras
- ?
-?

I plan on having plastic/live plants for now, which I will get this weekend. Do any of you know how I could decorate this thing? And what fish are colorful and hardy? that wouldnt mind having the fake plants. My pH level I last checked is around 7.5

Looks great so far. I would get some taller fake plants for your background and some shorter ones for the front of the tank. It gives it depth that way. I love the fake driftwood and so will your fish. You could keep a pair of Angel fish in their with your corys. They would love that tank and they would look amazing in it!

Lol, Cesch and dreamseller just gave my two suggestions. Great minds think alike Good luck with the tank and good choice with the cories. They are amazing little fish.

Hmmmm. Oh the fish choice is always a hard one. Maybe some sort of gourami will do? A red tail shark is always stunning to me.

But yeah other than that those the others members have said the best choices.

Good morning. Your tank is coming along just fine. I really like the tree stump too. I have 3 XL ones in my 265g. The fish love them.
I posted a link above concerning Red Tail Sharks. (RTS) although in the profile it states a 10g tank would suffice I have to disagree and I feel they should be kept in at least 55g. Too, they can be brutal to smaller community fish. I personally wouldn't recommend that you have any type of shark in a 29g. They are very territorial and a very aggressive species to smaller fish. I have a Rainbow Shark (pretty much the same as a RTS in my 265g and he chases my Silver Dollars (many times his size) all over the place at feeding time.
Best of luck. I'm sure you'll get some more stocking ideas. Keep us posted.

You could go with this list.

2x Angelfish
6x Tetras (Neon or Cardinal)
6x Corydoras Catfish

And lots of plastic plants for hiding places. Be sure to put the angels last and try to get them juvenile Good luck!

You could look at platys or mollies, too. They're available in many different colors.
