Can I add a Dwarf Gourami?

Hello I was wondering if i could add a dwarf gourami to my tank.

Currently I have

1 Molly
5 Neon Tetras
6 Corey Cats
3 Ottos

I have a 15 gallon tank I do weekly water changes amonia 0 nitrites 0 and nitrates 10 the tank is planted. I guess you could call it heavily planted 1 large anubias i think thats what its called. I also have 3 or 4 smaller plants but i dont remember what they are called. If you all need any other info just ask I'm sure i have the info and i probly just forgot to add it in.

OO I just remembered I have had this tank set up this way for about 9 mo.

Thanks in advance all the info i read here is always great.

Hi! If I haven't said it before, welcome to FishLore

You have room for a DG, however, I couldn't recommend one.
There's been quite a few deaths here on the forum from what I suspct to be Dwarf Gourami disease.
I lost 2 myself recently.
Of course, I can't be 100% sure that's the cause of death for these poor fish, I just wanted to be honest in my opinion.

You might want to try a Thick lipped Gourami (Colisa labiosa ) or a Banded Gourami (Colisa fasciata) as they're not suseptable to DG disease.

Good luck what ever you decide

Thanks for the advise !! I actually read on the gourami part of the forum about the disease thing where ppl are having problems with them dying right after I made my post. Well I just want a fish thats a little fancier for my tank that is active so I'll look at some of the other gourami's that you listed on there. Thanks for the info again and its nice to know I have a little room for at least one of these guys. Just out of curiosity are there any other fish you might recommend that dont need to be kept in a school that I could look at to add to my tank ??

Thanks for the Help !!!

It's tough in your size tank. There aren't many fish that are small that don't like to be in schools.
Maybe a Bolivian or German Blue Ram.
They should be fine with the guppies, corys and otos. Not sure about the molly, I've never kept them.

I know it's tough in my tanks size thats why i havent added anything yet. I plan on getting another tank in january i was thinking a 55 or 75 gallon tank where I could have a much bigger variety of choices on what to keep in it. Ill probly end up getting one of the gouramis you suggested earlier for this tank. Thanks for the help.
