so my friend has received a free.....56gal tank. 48long, 18high, 15deep (inches)
he wants angels in it, and neons/cardinals. I am going to help wih the setup of the tank and want to give him some good suggestions.
Well i thought i would throw it out to the fish fanatics of FishLore for suggestions on stocking.
Not sure personally about neons and angels....but want some suggestions on what you might put in it.
He wants a big fish that swims around....like an oscar but again i am not certain on what would be a good mix with angels.
Any suggestions you give i am going to put forward. he is going to come round to look at fish and descriptions before we set up to see what mix he wants. so all ideas will be passed his way with any health warnings, cautions that need to be addressed.
He will maintain his tank, weekly water changes, cycling etc. thinking live plants, with gravel.
so feel free to make any suggestions and i will compile a list for him to look at and think about!!!

An african knife is a great larger community safe (mostly) fish that'll swim around. Of all the species I keep, the knife is the most mezmorizing to watch as it moves around the tank. AND, because it's a shier fish, it won't always be out for your viewing pleasure, which makes it even more special when it is. It's the easiest to keep (readily eats pellets), smallest (8-10") and most community safe knife you'll find.
