IMO, Boesemani, which can get 5" at maturity, really need a 48" long tank so they can swim comfortably.
Since your tank is 36" adding fish that grow over 3" would probably not allow them to live to their fullest potential.
But, that is my opinion and this is your choice, your tank and fish...
An alternative idea, how about adding more Pristellas to your heard.

Small fish look nicer and feel more comfortable in larger schools of 6 or more.
So, more Pristella would add zip and action to the mid/ upper regions.
Or consider adding an opposing color of the Pristellas, a small fish like cherry barbs in a school of 6 or more, is a colorful option.
Adding/upgrading filtration is always a good thing.
