I have become to really like these fish--they are soooo pretty ! I just got 2 new tanks: 55g & 65 g. The 65 gal will probably be for
SW! The 55 I hope to rehome my african cichlids (juvies) to, they are currently in a 30 gal. I have 5 lake malawii's in there now plus a brashir (sp ?). I want to know if I will already be overstocked with what I have or if I could add a pair of either the
JD's or FH's. I have extra tanks I can use if I need to. As of now I have a total of 5 tanks--3 are being used. The 65 gal is not set up yet as we are still researching sw for that tank. We have a 55g empty tank ready to begin cycling for africans who are in a 30 gal. So once they are rehomed that 30 gal will be empty. I have another 55 with 2 O's (baby) which will be rehomed in few months to larger tank. We have 10 gal with a betts who will stay there. My husband really wants a BGK--and I know they get big-but how fast do they grow? Would it be ok to home it in a 30 gal for a few months until we got bigger tank ? Or do they get really huge really fast ?
